Training Exercise

Mr. M and Dad have been training for the upcoming hunting season. They have been working up to 10k distances, starting with 3k around the Game Farm Park. To keep up Mongo’s interest, Dad signed them up for a couple of races. It is much easier to run with Mongo in a race environment. In training, he stops to sniff and pee at every tree, lamp post, and trash bin. In a race, Mongo gets focused. He doesn’t stop for anything…except to pee…OK, pee and poop…and to drink. But nothing else except to pee, poop, and drink…and maybe to sniff. But that’s it! He stops at nothing except to pee, poop, drink, and sniff, but nothing else, unless the fancy strikes him. Come to think of it, maybe that’s why they are never competitive.
