Mongo Polices his Park
Mongo is a good canine citizen. His walkers always make an effort to pick up his leavings. And he often helps police the area by picking up things like tasty food wrappers left behind by other visitors. One thing he is really good at finding is birds, dead or alive.
The Neighborhood Bandit
There is a bandit who lives in Mongo’s neighborhood. He wears a mask, and in the best traditions of bandits, is missing a limb.
Even with the handicap, the bandit is very nimble. Dad has seen him scale fences and climb trees.

The family arrived home to find Mr. Mongo slinking around the house like he had done something terrible. Just like in the “Case of the Missing Cohibas”, the family once again had to use their sleuthing skills to deduce the nature of his crime.
Comic-con Snacks
The twins, Kimi & Laura had made plans back last November to attend the Emerald City Comic-con at the Seattle Convention Center. They had even made plans to make their own breakfast and to bring snacks with them to help stretch their limited budget.
One Half Dozen Hard Boiled Eggs
Dad checked the fridge, looking for eggs. There were 18 in there; way too many to use any time soon. So Dad decided to hard-boil 6 of them. He finished boiling them and then left them in the clear plastic container to cool on the counter top. Then he bolted out of the house for a meeting.
Later that day, Dad informed Mom-mom that there were some hard-boiled eggs in the fridge, available for breakfast or lunch tomorrow.
“Where?”, she asked.
“Right there in the clear egg carton”, “Dad answered confidently.
